Direct answer

If the child missed a paper, the slip may show absent/cancelled for that subject. A checker cannot invent a mark. Talk to the school about medical or irregularity records.

BECE — Ghana 2026

Written for parents of children who were ill or missed a paper. Buy authorised checkers on Ewale *714*22# when you need a voucher. Check only on WAEC’s official portals.

Vital context for “BECE absent candidate results”

WAEC records attendance. You cannot “pay extra” on USSD to fill a blank subject. Malpractice on one paper can affect more than that paper.

BECE checker facts that actually matter

A BECE result checker is a Serial Number + 10-digit PIN. It is not the index number. The index number identifies the candidate; the checker is the key that unlocks the portal. Official check: eresults.waecgh.org. WASSCE’s site will reject a BECE voucher.

WAEC Ghana typically allows three successful views per voucher. Screenshot and save a PDF on the first clean load. CSSPS SHS placement uses these grades later — a lost PIN in a class WhatsApp group burns a use and exposes the child.

Buy a BECE checker on Ewale

  1. Dial *714*22# → 5 Results Vouchers → 1 BECE.
  2. Self or Other. Quantity 1–80 for a school or family.
  3. Confirm the live GHS (often GH₵24 per voucher) and approve MoMo.
  4. Save the SMS. Then open eresults.waecgh.org with index, serial, PIN, and the correct year.

Advice that actually helps

Get the facts from the examinations officer before you accuse the child of failing. If absence was documented, ask what official remedy exists. Do not buy NOVDEC talk yet — that is a later, different sitting.

The expensive mistake: Buying another BECE checker hoping the absent paper becomes a 1.

After the grades are on the screen

Keep the slip. Future SHS talk must include the missing subject honestly.

  • Hospital notes belong with the school, not with a Facebook agent.
  • Do not edit a PDF to hide absent.
  • Counsellor first, rumours second.

Protect the child and the voucher

  • Do not paste Serial + PIN in a class or church group.
  • Do not pay a site that is not eresults.waecgh.org (or the matching official WAEC Ghana property).
  • Do not buy a second voucher until you have re-typed the first SMS and confirmed the exam type and year.
  • Schools should not harvest student PINs “for the office file.” The three uses belong to the candidate.

Stuck after a real debit? Ewale support with the MoMo reference. WAEC grading disputes go to WAEC Ghana, not Ewale.

FAQ — BECE absent candidate results

Will CSSPS ignore an absent core?

Missing cores hurt. The school must explain options. Do not guess from a forum.

Can we sit that one paper now?

Not via a result checker. Future sittings are a registration question for GES/WAEC.

Is absent the same as 9?

No. 9 is a grade. Absent means no mark to convert.

For BECE absent candidate results, keep *714*22# saved. Results day is a bad time to stand in a Ghana Post queue. Official portal, three uses, save the PDF, then decide the next academic step with a calm adult in the room.
