Direct answer

Withheld is not always cheating. It can mean investigation, outstanding issues, or a centre problem. It is not a PIN error. Paying a second checker will not release it.

BECE — Ghana 2026

Written for families who saw “withheld” instead of grades. Buy authorised checkers on Ewale *714*22# when you need a voucher. Check only on WAEC’s official portals.

Vital context for “BECE results withheld”

WAEC withholds scripts when malpractice is suspected, scripts are missing, or administrative holds apply. The portal may show withheld/cancelled rather than 1–9 grades. Only WAEC and the school get the official reason.

BECE checker facts that actually matter

A BECE result checker is a Serial Number + 10-digit PIN. It is not the index number. The index number identifies the candidate; the checker is the key that unlocks the portal. Official check: eresults.waecgh.org. WASSCE’s site will reject a BECE voucher.

WAEC Ghana typically allows three successful views per voucher. Screenshot and save a PDF on the first clean load. CSSPS SHS placement uses these grades later — a lost PIN in a class WhatsApp group burns a use and exposes the child.

Buy a BECE checker on Ewale

  1. Dial *714*22# → 5 Results Vouchers → 1 BECE.
  2. Self or Other. Quantity 1–80 for a school or family.
  3. Confirm the live GHS (often GH₵24 per voucher) and approve MoMo.
  4. Save the SMS. Then open eresults.waecgh.org with index, serial, PIN, and the correct year.

Advice that actually helps

Stay calm in front of the child. Call the school the same day. Do not pay WhatsApp “WAEC contacts.” Document the index and the screen. If it is a centre-wide issue, many classmates will see the same status.

The expensive mistake: Bribing someone who claims they can “un-withhold” overnight.

After the grades are on the screen

Follow the school’s letter to WAEC. Keep checking official notices — not rumour blogs. CSSPS placement can be delayed; have a backup conversation about repeating or private sitting only after the school advises.

  • Screenshot the withheld page with date.
  • Do not spend remaining checker uses refreshing every ten minutes.
  • Ask whether it is candidate-level or centre-level.

Protect the child and the voucher

  • Do not paste Serial + PIN in a class or church group.
  • Do not pay a site that is not eresults.waecgh.org (or the matching official WAEC Ghana property).
  • Do not buy a second voucher until you have re-typed the first SMS and confirmed the exam type and year.
  • Schools should not harvest student PINs “for the office file.” The three uses belong to the candidate.

Stuck after a real debit? Ewale support with the MoMo reference. WAEC grading disputes go to WAEC Ghana, not Ewale.

FAQ — BECE results withheld

Will a new checker show grades?

No. The hold is on the result, not the voucher.

Is withheld the same as cancelled?

Cancelled is usually final for that paper. Withheld can still resolve. The school must interpret WAEC’s letter.

Can Ewale see why?

No. Ewale sells the voucher. Grading holds are WAEC.

For BECE results withheld, keep *714*22# saved. Results day is a bad time to stand in a Ghana Post queue. Official portal, three uses, save the PDF, then decide the next academic step with a calm adult in the room.
