Will Universities Accept NOVDEC for Admission in Ghana?

Direct answer

Many do accept private WASSCE, sometimes combined with school results. Each university PDF is the law, not a Facebook uncle.

NOVDEC / WASSCE Private — Ghana 2026

Written for candidates upgrading for tertiary. Buy authorised checkers on Ewale *714*22# when you need a voucher. Check only on WAEC’s official portals.

Vital context for “NOVDEC university admission Ghana”

Some programmes insist on one sitting. Some allow two. Competitive courses may still demand strong cores from either sitting.

NOVDEC / private WASSCE — what the checker is for

NOVDEC is Ghana’s private / second-sitting WASSCE (dates sit around November–December; series names change). You write to upgrade grades or to sit as a private candidate. Results still live on ghana.waecdirect.org under WASSCE (Private) — not the BECE portal.

The voucher you buy on Ewale as “WASSCE / Nov-Dec” is the same product family as school WASSCE checkers: Serial + PIN, typically three uses. Exam type on the portal must be Private if that is how WAEC registered you. School vs Private mismatch is the usual “no results” after a valid PIN.

*714*22# → 5 → 2 (WASSCE / Nov-Dec) → MoMo → SMS.
Portal: ghana.waecdirect.org → WASSCE (Private) → year you sat → index → PIN → Serial.

Advice that actually helps

Download this year’s admissions brochure before you pay NOVDEC fees. If they reject combination, you need a full repair of the blocking subjects, not a random extra Government paper.

The expensive mistake: Assuming KNUST/UG/UCC all use the same combination rule.

After the grades are on the screen

Apply with both slips as they specify. Do not hide the school sitting.

Highlight the sentence on two sittings.
Keep both PDFs.
No blended forgeries.

Protect the child and the voucher

Do not paste Serial + PIN in a class or church group.
Do not pay a site that is not ghana.waecdirect.org (or the matching official WAEC Ghana property).
Do not buy a second voucher until you have re-typed the first SMS and confirmed the exam type and year.
Schools should not harvest student PINs “for the office file.” The three uses belong to the candidate.

Stuck after a real debit? Ewale support with the MoMo reference. WAEC grading disputes go to WAEC Ghana, not Ewale.
