Direct answer

Buy the checker beforehand. Private room. Food. Then the portal. The child’s future is not a live show for the compound.

WASSCE — Ghana 2026

Written for parents of SHS 3 candidates. Buy authorised checkers on Ewale *714*22# when you need a voucher. Check only on WAEC’s official portals.

Vital context for “WASSCE results day parents”

Portals lag. F9 in one subject is not the whole child. PIN sharing with the church group wastes uses.

WASSCE checker facts that actually matter

School WASSCE results are checked on ghana.waecdirect.org with index number + Serial + PIN (Ewale WASSCE vouchers use a 12-digit PIN). Select WASSCE (School) unless you were registered as private. BECE’s eresults site will not show school WASSCE grades.

Grades run A1 (best) to F9. Many tertiary programmes look at three cores + three electives (English and Core Maths almost always sit in the core set). A checker does not print a certificate — it prints a results slip. Keep three uses for you, a parent, and an admission upload.

Buy a WASSCE checker on Ewale

  1. Dial *714*22# → 5 → 2 WASSCE / Nov-Dec.
  2. Pay with MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, or AT Money.
  3. SMS: Serial + 12-digit PIN. Check on ghana.waecdirect.org.

Advice that actually helps

You hold the SMS; they type. Celebrate or plan without humiliation. If withheld, you call the school, not a prophet’s MoMo.

The expensive mistake: Live video with the password on screen.

After the grades are on the screen

PDF. Sleep. University list tomorrow with a counsellor if needed.

  • Charger + data.
  • One typist.
  • No status updates with the slip.

Protect the child and the voucher

  • Do not paste Serial + PIN in a class or church group.
  • Do not pay a site that is not ghana.waecdirect.org (or the matching official WAEC Ghana property).
  • Do not buy a second voucher until you have re-typed the first SMS and confirmed the exam type and year.
  • Schools should not harvest student PINs “for the office file.” The three uses belong to the candidate.

Stuck after a real debit? Ewale support with the MoMo reference. WAEC grading disputes go to WAEC Ghana, not Ewale.

FAQ — WASSCE results day parents

Should I check without the child?

Better together unless they refuse and you only need CSSPS-style planning — still respect them.

Two children, one PIN?

No.

Need a pastor present?

That is family culture. The PIN still stays off the pulpit mic.

For WASSCE results day parents, keep *714*22# saved. Results day is a bad time to stand in a Ghana Post queue. Official portal, three uses, save the PDF, then decide the next academic step with a calm adult in the room.
