Direct answer

A staff spreadsheet of 200 PINs is a leak waiting to happen. Schools can request a printed slip. They do not need to own the child’s three uses.

WAEC Ghana — Ghana 2026

Written for headteachers, PTA, and parents. Buy authorised checkers on Ewale *714*22# when you need a voucher. Check only on WAEC’s official portals.

Vital context for “school collecting WAEC PIN”

Privacy and remaining uses belong to the candidate. Bulk buying is fine; bulk warehousing of secrets is not.

How WAEC result checkers work in Ghana

WAEC Ghana does not email grades. You buy an authorised result checker voucher, then type Serial, PIN, index number, exam type, and year on the official site. Ewale *714*22# sells BECE and WASSCE/Nov-Dec vouchers by SMS. Price is shown before PIN — treat WhatsApp “GH₵5 checkers” as stolen or fake.

Three uses. Official sites only. Never dictate PIN on a call. If the portal is slow on release day, wait and retry — do not buy five extra vouchers from a stranger.

Advice that actually helps

PTA policy: school helps parents buy, parents keep SMS. If the school must verify, they watch a check or take a PDF. No Google Sheet titled PINs.

The expensive mistake: WhatsApp group “send your serial and PIN for the office.”

After the grades are on the screen

If a PIN already leaked, buy a new voucher only if uses are blown and a live view is required.

  • Envelopes.
  • Results are confidential.
  • Bulk 80 on Ewale still means 80 secrets.

Protect the child and the voucher

  • Do not paste Serial + PIN in a class or church group.
  • Do not pay a site that is not ghana.waecdirect.org (or the matching official WAEC Ghana property).
  • Do not buy a second voucher until you have re-typed the first SMS and confirmed the exam type and year.
  • Schools should not harvest student PINs “for the office file.” The three uses belong to the candidate.

Stuck after a real debit? Ewale support with the MoMo reference. WAEC grading disputes go to WAEC Ghana, not Ewale.
