Direct answer

A checker lets you see grades on the consumer portal. Attestation/confirmation is WAEC certifying results to a third party. Different fees, different offices.

WAEC Ghana — Ghana 2026

Written for people told to “get WAEC confirmation”. Buy authorised checkers on Ewale *714*22# when you need a voucher. Check only on WAEC’s official portals.

Vital context for “WAEC attestation vs checker”

Ewale sells checkers. We do not stamp for embassies. Schools sometimes confirm internally; foreign bodies often want WAEC itself.

How WAEC result checkers work in Ghana

WAEC Ghana does not email grades. You buy an authorised result checker voucher, then type Serial, PIN, index number, exam type, and year on the official site. Ewale *714*22# sells BECE and WASSCE/Nov-Dec vouchers by SMS. Price is shown before PIN — treat WhatsApp “GH₵5 checkers” as stolen or fake.

Three uses. Official sites only. Never dictate PIN on a call. If the portal is slow on release day, wait and retry — do not buy five extra vouchers from a stranger.

Advice that actually helps

If the letter says confirmation, go to WAEC’s process. If you only need to know the grades tonight, buy a checker.

The expensive mistake: Paying a café to print “ATTESTED” in WordArt.

After the grades are on the screen

Keep both the PDF and any attestation receipt in one folder.

  • Read the requesting body’s sentence.
  • No PIN in attestation queues if they did not ask.
  • Beware middlemen.

Protect the child and the voucher

  • Do not paste Serial + PIN in a class or church group.
  • Do not pay a site that is not ghana.waecdirect.org (or the matching official WAEC Ghana property).
  • Do not buy a second voucher until you have re-typed the first SMS and confirmed the exam type and year.
  • Schools should not harvest student PINs “for the office file.” The three uses belong to the candidate.

Stuck after a real debit? Ewale support with the MoMo reference. WAEC grading disputes go to WAEC Ghana, not Ewale.
