Direct answer
The whole country hits two websites. Retry later. A “fast alternative portal” is how PINs die. Your Ewale voucher is fine; the queue is WAEC’s servers.
WAEC Ghana — Ghana 2026
Written for anyone getting timeouts. Buy authorised checkers on Ewale *714*22# when you need a voucher. Check only on WAEC’s official portals.
Vital context for “WAEC portal overloaded”
HTTP 500, spinners, and blank pages are capacity. They are not a signal to buy more checkers.
How WAEC result checkers work in Ghana
WAEC Ghana does not email grades. You buy an authorised result checker voucher, then type Serial, PIN, index number, exam type, and year on the official site. Ewale *714*22# sells BECE and WASSCE/Nov-Dec vouchers by SMS. Price is shown before PIN — treat WhatsApp “GH₵5 checkers” as stolen or fake.
- BECE: eresults.waecgh.org, 10-digit PIN on typical Ewale BECE vouchers.
- WASSCE / NOVDEC: ghana.waecdirect.org, 12-digit PIN on typical Ewale WASSCE vouchers.
Three uses. Official sites only. Never dictate PIN on a call. If the portal is slow on release day, wait and retry — do not buy five extra vouchers from a stranger.
Advice that actually helps
Try early morning. One device. Official URL. If you already submitted successfully, do not smash refresh into extra uses.
The expensive mistake: VPN clone advertised as faster WAEC.
After the grades are on the screen
When it loads, save immediately.
- Buy checker before the crush.
- Data + Wi-Fi backup.
- Patience is cheaper than a second PIN.
Protect the child and the voucher
- Do not paste Serial + PIN in a class or church group.
- Do not pay a site that is not ghana.waecdirect.org (or the matching official WAEC Ghana property).
- Do not buy a second voucher until you have re-typed the first SMS and confirmed the exam type and year.
- Schools should not harvest student PINs “for the office file.” The three uses belong to the candidate.
Stuck after a real debit? Ewale support with the MoMo reference. WAEC grading disputes go to WAEC Ghana, not Ewale.

For WAEC portal overloaded, keep *714*22# saved. Results day is a bad time to stand in a Ghana Post queue. Official portal, three uses, save the PDF, then decide the next academic step with a calm adult in the room.
